Mapping
Interact Club of Howard County hopes to discover and tell the history of Howard County through historical sources and geographic information systems (GIS) StoryMapping. This will be completely virtual and safe for all members.
Stream Restoration
We also hope to get involved in stream restoration projects at the Community Ecology Institute’s Freetown Farm. Our goal is to restore stream bank health by removing invasive weeds and assessing the improvement over time. This will be done in-person and outdoors, so members will be able to work together in small groups on occasion.
Holiday Card Greetings to Senior Citizens
During the holidays the Interact Club of Howard County hopes to share cheer by writing holiday cards for a local senior center.
